come to a stop, pump the brake to the floor twice, that should turn off traction control, then put it in power mode.

I tried this, TC goes back off as soon as you start moving. Proper way to disable is
Turn car off
Turn car on
in park floor the gas twice
in neutral floor the gas twice
in park floor the gas twice

From a practical standpoint (i.e.: more powah!) does this make a difference?

Maintenance mode removes TC, SC, and auto brake bias, also it keeps the engine on at idle so there is less delay when I decide to floor it from a stop.
It CAN cause early inverter failure, but meh...
